Once you’ve weighed your food, you need to look it up and log it in your tracking app. Here are some top tips for tracking:
Pay attention to serving sizes.
Cross-check labels and apps.
Weigh and log your food before you eat.
Pre-logging helps you avoid underestimating and overeating because you can change portion sizes and food sources before you’re “stuck” having eaten something.
As you gain experience you will have a reliable knowledge of what fits your macros, then you may be able to eat first and log later. But, logging first will always keep you most precise.
Planning Ahead
It is recommended to start getting in the habit of tracking your meals ahead of time as much as possible. If you’re laying in bed at night and on your phone try and think of the foods you will be eating the following day and add them in.
If you’ve prepped your meals ahead of time, you can pre-log exact food weights.
